With the support of our community and Thaw Charitable Trust, we’re building a permanent endowment to steward this beloved landscape for generations to come. Once the endowment is fully funded, it will generate approximately $125,000 each year to maintain trails, restore habitat, protect cultural sites, and expand community-serving educational programs — ensuring that the GBP is safe, accessible, and ecologically resilient for present and future generations!
Support our Annual Campaign
Each year, Commonweal needs to raise funds to steward the Galisteo Basin Preserve’s 7,000 acres of open space, tend its 49-mile trail system, improve trailheads, manage wildlife habitat projects, oversee environmental education programs, maintain access roads, and sustain the organization’s on-going operations.
